This series of oil paintings were made in the remote landscapes of Jersey, Channel Islands, Iona, Inner Hebredies, Donegal, Ireland and on Dartmoor National Park. The landscapes, weather and some of the experiences out there, are referenced in each painting, but act as a departure point into the imagination. The paintings are a development of a series of imagination monoprints and work themselves out as colour and compositional puzzels. Working symbolically and attempting to decode the symbolism makes up a major part of my current art practice.
